Renewed in aesthetics and reinforced in the structure the MDN mower models have been developed to meet increasingly demanding working conditions, dictated by ever-widening surfaces and smaller working times, to the benefit of productivity..
The primary transmission takes place through four SPBX toothed belts, while the secondary gear is used with oil bath gears.
The minimum power absorption to the PTO makes the MDN model applicable to low power tractors as well.
The cut adjustment is done by the third point of the tractor which allows to vary the angle of the mowing unit
The mower is equipped with a spring cushion acting on the entire cutting bar allowing optimum set up according to ground conditions and the possibility of working at a negative angle of 45 °.
The fulcrum point of safety is located in the steering axle and allows for a suitable backstroke with obstacles.
Parallel lifting by the ability to maneuver the mower during working phases with the lifting piston without the shoe touching the ground.
A simple effect cylinder allows the mower to be positioned vertically for road transport and for less space when storing it.
As a standard, there is a swath kit with circular conveyor and a cone disk on the right side(travelling sense)

HIGH PERFORMANCE CUTTER BAR
The cutter bar,has a very compact design and a C-profile reinforcement embedded in the cover which provides total stiffness and perfect penetration in all types of crops.
MAIN HUB
The the main support consists in a single block secured with six screws and allows a quick, individual and simple examination of the gearbox without opening the cover. The bearings are mounted with great pitch clearance to cancel the transverse forces of the pinion shaft.
COVER
The heavy duty cover, with integrated C reinforcement, avoids the bending of the cutting unit in order to avoid the twisting of the moving parts. Anti-wear skids at the bottom of the cutter bar are made of a special anti-wearing steel and have a wedge-shaped angular profile for a better penetration into high-density crops and avoid frontal clogs. The application of additional shoes offers a higher protection of the bottom of the cutter bar when working in particularly abrasive soils.
ROUND DISCS
Marangon’s round cutting disks provide greater safety than the oval disk in case of shock shock, avoiding damage to the vital parts of the mower and repeated cutting of the product as the knife disappears under the disk. Hot forged, tempered, bent and ribbed, allow the acceleration of the flow in way to facilitate the discharge of the product. Knives are made of high quality steel for a long life .

LATERAL DRUMS
Allows to convey the grass to the center of the cutter bar and therefore to reduce the width of the hay for a better product management.
SUSPENSION
The spring suspension allows the adjustement of the weight of the mower on the ground so as to consistently have a clean and professional cut of the forage. In addition, a correct weight maximizes the performance of the mower and minimizes the wear of it. A label on the shock absorber indicates optimal suspension set-up.
CONVEYOR DISCS
The mower is equipped with an external (standard) swathing disc, while the internal one, which allows an extra reduction of the hay swath is on request.
REINFORCED CUTTING GROUP
The cutting unit is equipped (standard) with a series of anti-wear and hardened steel skids to provide to the cutterbar bed the maximum protection against any risk of damage in the field and therefore longer life of the mowing unit.
SECURITY SYSTEM
The safety system, positioned on the hitch, allows a suitable retraction of the mower in case of obstacles. Once activated, the hook is operated mechanically without having to get off the tractor.
PARALLEL LIFTING
System that allows, during the maneuvering operation at end of the field, to lift the mower without that the skate hits the grassy cot. In case of road transport, the mower can be moved vertically by a simple hydraulic cylinder excluding the parallel lift mechanism.
TRANSMISSION
The transmission is carried out with four SPBX toothed belts. The belt drive allows the mower to work with a positive and a negative angle and therefore follows the level differences of the ground.
Quick knives change system for a faster knives change with the appropriate key.
Composed of two anti-wear and hardened scrapers for a constant cleaning of the bottom of the disc
The accessory can also be installed after the purchase of a MARANGON mowing bar as the disk is ready for its after-market installation.

ANTIWEAR SKIDS 14mm
The anti-wear kit can be mounted on request directly on the mower or can be installed easily and quickly by the user even after purchasing a MARANGON mower.
Stamped, made of wear-resistant and hardened material, provide additional protection to the cutting unit.
TOPPING SKIDS from 35 to 50 mm
