To ensure maximum driving stability on slopes, the machine’s centre of gravity must be as close as possible to the tractor. ALPINA meets these requirements perfectly: a lightweight mower that requires low power input, yet is extremely robust.

Thanks to this compact, lightweight design, the mower can be coupled to both low-horsepower tractors and specialised mountain vehicles, preserving the integrity of the sward and ensuring maximum safety in use.

The forage must flow freely without causing build-up or blockages: a challenge that the ALPINA successfully overcomes, even when mowing on a downhill slope. The MARANGON cutter bar stands out for its extremely flat design, with a height of just 4 cm. This slim profile, combined with the fact that all the discs rotate towards the centre, ensures optimal forage conveyance and the formation of a perfect swath

“RAZOR CUT” MOWING UNIT: MARANGON-MADE QUALITY
The high-performance mowing unit has been deliberately designed with a compact, wedge-shaped profile to offer wide cutting-height adjustment possibilities and ensure the best penetration into even the most challenging forage crops, always guaranteeing an optimal, clean cut.
Rotation towards the centre: models equipped with disc rotation towards the centre allow the formation of a single swath and offer advantages on wet and soft ground. The mown crop is not pressed into the soil by the tractor and can be collected without losses.

“FIRST AID KIT” MAIN SUPPORT
The main support, made from a single block fixed with six screws, allows quick, individual and simple inspection of the gearbox.
COVER WITH INTEGRATED “C” REINFORCEMENT
The thick cover with integrated “C” reinforcement, unique in its kind, eliminates flexing of the cutting unit in order to prevent torsion of the moving components.
ROUND DISC
WEAR PLATES
The mowing unit is equipped as standard with a series of wear-resistant boron steel skids, designed to provide the gearbox casing with maximum protection against any risk of damage in the field. The rounded reinforcements placed between the skids effectively protect the bar, while the profiling on the underside prevents material build-up, allowing the mown crop to flow without interruption.
SUPPLEMENTARY WEAR PLATES
The supplementary wear plate kit can be fitted directly at the factory on request, or easily and quickly installed by the user at a later stage, as an aftermarket solution after purchasing the MARANGON mower. Pressed and manufactured from wear-resistant boron steel, these elements provide additional protection for the mowing unit.
“TOPPING SKIDS”
Raising plate that allows the cutting height to be increased in order to carry out so-called “topping”, cutting only the upper part of the plant. This operation stops the apical growth of the crop, stimulating development in the lower part; livestock entering the pasture afterwards will therefore find a much richer and more nutritious product.
QUICK BLADE CHANGE
Quick-change system for fast blade replacement using the dedicated key, specifically designed to minimise downtime in the field and increase hourly productivity.
Available for all Marangon disc mowers and mower conditioners.
LOWER DISC SCRAPERS
Module consisting of two scrapers made from hardened wear-resistant material, ensuring constant cleaning of the underside of the disc. The accessory can also be installed after the purchase of a MARANGON cutter bar, as the disc is already designed for aftermarket installation.
