HISTORY, PASSION, AND INNOVATION

From 1957 to the present,
chronicles our evolution in the field.

The history of Marangon Srl is shaped by its daily work and ongoing technological research. Its steady growth is deeply rooted in tradition, while its focus remains firmly on the future of haymaking.

1900

The Roots of Mechanics

Founding of the Company

In 1957, Marangon began its journey in the world of agricultural machinery.

It all began in a small artisan workshop, where expertise in repairing farm machinery went hand in hand with the first solutions designed for field work and to meet the needs of the local area.

1960

A RAPID EVOLUTION

The drum mower

Introduction of the first Marangon drum mower, a revolution that redefined the speed and cleanliness of mowing in Italian fields.

A rotary cutting technology that was innovative for its time, capable of handling large quantities of forage without clogging and optimizing harvest times.

The rapid adoption of the drum system established the company as a key player in haymaking in the Veneto and Po Valley regions.

1970

BEYOND NATIONAL BORDERS

Admission to Major Trade Shows

This decade marked Marangon’s historic transition to the national and international stages, consolidating the brand through participation in major industry trade shows.

Agricultural trade shows provide the ideal setting for forging lasting business relationships and demonstrating the superior build quality of our machines in the field, thereby earning the trust of foreign dealers.

1980

THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

From Workshop to Industry

The sharp increase in demand calls for a profound structural transformation. Marangon is investing in a new, state-of-the-art production facility.

Production is standardized thanks to advanced assembly lines, and the company operates on an industrial scale, equipped with a logistics fleet capable of distributing the machines throughout Europe.

1990

THE AGE OF MOWER-CONDITIONERS

Integration of forage conditioning systems with rubber rollers (ideal for legumes) and flail systems (ideal for grasses).

  • : Superior Forage QualityThe conditioning technology cuts field drying time in half, preserving the crop’s nutritional and energy properties.

  • ‘s Presence in the Nordic Markets
Thanks to the exceptional durability of its cutting and conditioning systems, Marangon has established itself as a leading supplier in the Northern European markets.
2000

HIGH-PRECISION STANDARDS

Transition to Disk and Automation

This decade has been marked by the definitive shift to high-performance disc mowers, designed to operate at high working speeds while consuming less power.

In recent years, the company has adopted the concept of in-house production to ensure total control over quality: from turning to laser cutting, from welding to assembly, 100% of the components are strictly Made in Marangon.

2010

THE DIRECT-CUT MARKET

Fixed Direct-Cut Test Heads

Marangon is making a strategic entry into a new and highly specialized market: direct-cut cutting heads for self-propelled mulchers from all the world’s leading brands.

The first fixed headers with large working widths were introduced, designed for harvesting biomass crops and delicate forage, ensuring a consistent flow.

The Foldable Evolution

To meet road transport needs without compromising productivity, the company designs and launches hydraulically folding versions.

Patented systems and complex kinematics allow for a quick switch from road mode to work mode directly from the mulcher’s cab.

TOWARD THE FUTURE

Sustainability, Efficiency, and New Frontiers

Today, Marangon continues to invest in high-strength materials, compatibility with smart-farming systems, and energy-efficient equipment, supporting agricultural professionals as they tackle the challenges of the ecological transition.

MARANGON
EXCELLENCE IN HAYMAKING SINCE 1957

The Marangon story lives on in every car we design:

in the quality of the cut, the sturdiness of the construction, and the service that guides the customer from selection to installation.
