The side attachment of the cutter bar, available for categories I and II, is designed to offer a wide range of movement. This exceptional upward and downward oscillation capacity allows MDN mowers to perfectly follow the ground profile, making them ideal for working on slopes and on particularly undulating or uneven terrain.
They allow the mown grass to be conveyed smoothly, enabling the formation of a regular swath for improved crop management and collection.
Featuring an efficient spring shock absorber, this system allows the ground pressure of the mower to be adjusted to ensure a consistently uniform and professional cut. Proper load balancing also maximizes machine performance and minimizes wear.
A dedicated graduated label on the spring indicates the optimal suspension setup, which the operator can conveniently set while seated in the cab through simple adjustment of the tractor’s rear lift.
The mower is equipped as standard with an external swathing disc, while the internal component — which allows the swath width to be further reduced — is available as an option. This system ensures even more precise and clean crop conveying, making subsequent collection operations easier.
The safety device, integrated into the machine attachment, allows the mower to move back immediately for protection in the event of impact with foreign objects or obstacles. Once activated, the system resets completely mechanically and automatically, allowing work to resume without having to get off the tractor.

“FIRST AID KIT” MAIN SUPPORT

The thick cover with integrated “C” reinforcement, unique in its kind, eliminates flexing of the cutting unit in order to prevent twisting of the moving components.

WEAR PLATES
The cutting unit is equipped as standard with a set of wear-resistant boron steel skids, designed to provide the gear housing with maximum protection against any risk of damage in the field. The rounded reinforcements positioned between the skids effectively protect the bar, while the profiling on the underside prevents material build-up, allowing the mown crop to flow without interruption.
ADDITIONAL WEAR PLATES
The additional wear plate kit can be fitted directly at the factory on request, or it can be installed easily and quickly by the user at a later date (aftermarket) after purchasing the MARANGON mower. Stamped and made of wear-resistant boron steel, these elements provide additional protection for the cutting unit.
“TOPPING SKIDS”
Raising plate that allows the cutting height to be increased in order to perform so-called “Topping” (cutting only the upper part of the plant). This operation stops the apical growth of the crop, stimulating the development of the lower part; livestock entering the pasture afterwards will therefore find a much richer and more nutritious crop.
QUICK BLADE CHANGE
Quick-change system for fast blade replacement using the dedicated key, specifically designed to minimize downtime in the field and increase hourly productivity.
Available for all Marangon disc mowers and mower-conditioners.
LOWER DISC SCRAPERS
Module consisting of two scrapers made of hardened wear-resistant material that ensure constant cleaning of the lower part of the disc. The accessory can also be installed after purchasing a MARANGON cutter bar, as the disc is already natively prepared for aftermarket installation.
